How to avoid getting penalized for affiliate links?

    Hi guys,
    I need your help!
Say you have a blog where you have many blog posts and you promote affiliate products inside the text.
I have been told that if I link to many masked Clickbank addresses on one page, I will get severely penalized by the search engines. I've been told also is that the solution is to have landing pages such as mysite.com/myoffer1.html, and then there's only one link from each page. But I can't possibly make landing pages for that many products.
What is the most common approach when it comes to promoting affiliate links in the text?
    Thanks

I think if you put nofollow tag for the clickbank links, it is ok. Some bloggers have a few banners on their blogs, and I believe they use clickbank hoplinks as well.

OK, so you're saying if I have a bunch of links to Clickbank on my main page, that does not negatively affect my Google ratings? Just making sure... Why do most marketers redirect to some sort of landing page or in the absense of a landing page, just another page on their site which then does nothing but redirect to Clickbank product?

MarkUSA, if you have a feeling that Google might penalize you for this "affiliateness" (and you get the right point here), you can make your links via javascript. Since Google is not following javascript links (at least officially), you can be safe there.
Hope Clickbank has nothing against links via javascript.
