It is something in your website that you recently deleted but anyhow crawled by google.
The outcome will obviously "site not found".

Yes, the crawling of your site is based on your sitemap, feed etc.

You can use the Google Webmaster tools to remove 404 pages from its index. Alternatively you could use a redirect to send them to a similar page? Have you deleted the pages or just renamed them?

Simply use 404.php file (note found file of wordpress theme) to divert visitor to similar content and use SEO friendly 301 redirect. LEt it show number of errors, it will not harm you much,

There may be something wrong with your website.

I mean the coding. There should not be all those errors. It means your visitors are probably also getting them. You should check out the codes and investigate why the errors are showing up. If you hired aa designer to make the site, I would give them an email or phone call...
