I have a huge problem with Google supplementing hundreds of pages on my site. Can anyone tell me how to word my titles to avoid this. I am selling automotive parts. If I were selling auto door mirrors and I had a page for every vehicle most of the text on these pages will be the same. The only difference will be the name of the car (mustang, accord, camry, lincoln etc.... How do I fix this? My title for camry mirrors is "Buy and sell used Toyota Camry mirrors" My title for the Mustang Mirrors page is "Buy and sell Used Ford Mustang Mirrors" All of my titles are the same except for the vehicle model. Any suggestions would help. Thanks
any large site is going to have pages in supplemental....so its not something to be fearful of. Make sure your most important pages are not in supplemental. The way to get these pages out of supplemental is to get deep links to these pages.
Changing the titles in not usually the one shot cure. PR, links to that page, and unique content are needed. You will not be pleased with the results of just a title overhaul.
Get links to some inner pages, those titles seem fine to me. For a little extra unique in each title you could try Car Model Mirrors : Buy and Sell used Car Model Mirrors So "Buy and Sell used Ford Mustang mirrors" would be come "Ford Mustang Mirrors : Buy and Sell used Ford Mustang Mirror's" That is how I would do my titles anyway. But yeah, Inner links and you should be fine. Most sites, the inner pages will go supplemental at first until you work on some inner links to them and some time passes.
Make the titles for each page as different as possible "Buy and sell Used Ford Mustang Mirrors" is bad, "Ford Mustang Mirrors - Buy and sell Used" is better, "Ford Mustang Mirrors" would be best. Add deep links to selected subpages, e.g. from social bookmarking sites. Try keeping the text on every page as different as possible. As said before, it's normal if a huge site ends up with alot of supplementals.
