Hi, I have seen a lot of instances where malicious ads were being displayed on my website through Extensions installed in local machine browser. I also noticed that these ads were being displayed on most other smaller websites but not on the big ones like yahoo, youtube etc. In some instances the google adsense code was so neatly replaced by some other code that it took me months to realise that it was indeed some other ad. Just wanted to know if there is a way to avoid browser extensions modifying my website when someone opens them on an infected machine.
Yeah, run an adblock in your browser and don't put ads on your sites. Not joking, as a rule of thumb I trust LEGITIMATE advertisers about as much as I do the sleazy scum who make the adware... actually no, I trust them LESS. My current experiment of putting ONE ad on a new site (after eight years of no ads on websites) isn't changing that opinion either. Adverts, affiliate marketing, off the sheld templates, PSD jockeys with the giant set of brass to call their ignorant BS "design" -- there's a reason I look on the entire direction of the web right now with disgust to the point of nausea.
