I run 4 websites, I am just wondering, how can I get more visitors? What kind of marketing should I do without spending to much cash? I was thinking of Adwords, but I might get many false clicks causing me to loose money.
Contests go a long, long way. You can offer your visitors an entry into a competition to win an iPod. All they would have to do is refer the site to as many friends as they can - the one with the most referrals wins.

I agree, sites like craigslist are very good. There a lot of free ad sites out there, just search for them. Another personal favourite of mine is gumtree.com.
Signature links as has already been said and submitting to free directories - make sure you have good content and a well structured site that is SE friendly. You can also submit images to my site (see sig).
What you're doing is a great start. Get involved with forums and develop relationships with people. Use your social sites. Give to get!
it kind of depends on your site each site is differnt and needs a different marketing plan. sit down figure out your target market or markets and find the best places to advertise to those people. As with all the free methods like blogs articles forums etc said before. Make a quality marketng plan that is thought out and it will get results
get social! maximize your website exposure to social media interacting with social media users... and forget about those quick "get on digg/stumble upon" schemes..
For me I find that blogging attracts a lot of visitors, I used my blog initially as research tool on the theme "sex sells" but it has developed into a resource for SEO and online marketing. I find that I generate leads through my blog which springboard onto clients through the business website. I also use a whole range of social networking websites to create visibility for my blog.
