    Yes color is a vital thing. Try multiple prattles and place the ads where is ur contents. dont place ads where ppl will scroll down and skip ur ads.

    The best advice is - experiment with the ads. It;s different for every site. Try to blend the colours with your template, try also with different colors, different placement...

    A clean theme that places ads above the fold with a white background, black text, and "link blue" links is almost always the best.
