Is there anything I can do as a publisher at Clickbank that will attract quality affiliates? I'd rather have one person out there doing a dynamite job than 100 that produce nothing.
Good call. The best way is first to have a high-converting program. If your page converts highly (and you can prove it to some degree), that speaks hugely in your favor. Next, develop a nice backend of resources for affiliates. Banners, linking codes, directions on how to forum market, keyword lists for your genre, and other bonuses go a long ways. If you have a video walkthrough of your product and follow-up affiliate newsletters, you can also make great strides for high-performing sales from quality affiliates, as these mediums also convert very well. Otherwise, hang out in places like these where they congregate. Give bonuses, prizes, contests, etc, that kind of thing - be flexible, engaging, willing to help meet affiliates' needs - that should get you pretty far -T
search this board for other posts like yours. I believe there was one just last week on how to attract affiliates to push your product.
Thank you! Being a relatively new publisher, with no experience as an affiliate, I wasn't quite sure where to start. I did mention it on a forum that I've been a long-time member (it was a horseback riding forum) and quickly sold 6 copies that day. My ebook is called Bathing Suit Belly so that did appeal to them, since they have to get ready to go to horse shows soon and wear stretchy breeches! One lady said she needed a "breeches belly" lol
Hey, that's very cool! 6 copies shows your product has solid market appeal, and it sounds like you've perfectly targeted a niche that most people trying to promote weight-loss/tone products would never even think of! I think that's awesome, and gives you a great jumping off point to think about new niches and such! -T
If you have a good product, try to develop a list from it. Use a landing page, and CAPTURE their email address. It's not too hard if the product is good, and you'll benefit in the long runm because joe public rarely buys at the first view of your site. The squeeze brings you the ability to sell down the road.
