How to Attract People to my Competition?

I'm running a competition on my site.

    The basic idea is:

Post a short blurb about us in your blog, website etc. , with a valid link and you have a one in ten chance of winning one of our games.

The games sell for $19.95 so the price is not of gigantic value, but on the other hand you have a fair chance of winning.

I'm having a hard time attracting people to enter the compo.

So how do you market an online competition? Ideas? Suggestions?

If you are running a competition then you need to rely on word of mouth quite a bit but you have made a good start by posting here, you should (with permission of the Admin Team) include details of how to enter and I'm sure some of the DP guys will have a go.

You could also post on any other forums where you are a member and ask friends to do the same for you.

I am sure there are websites on the Net where you can advertise competitions also so do a search for that

    Good Luck

    Thanks for the advice.

As it seems there are not that many "listings of competitions" and most of them are really old, and look strange some also cost money to post to. I found like 5 pages that seemed somewhat up to date...

As is seems this could possibly be a good area for someone to start a good web page in...

Here is a site where you place your competition and promote it there - http://www.contestblogger.com/forum/ You can try but I am not sure of their criteria, as I had never submitted one though.

    Hope that helps.
