Hello, I have a handful of affiliates on the World-famous ClickBank system, however, I'm finding it a bit hard to attract many, especially BIG affiliates. Except writing to established business contacts, except waiting on ClickBank for affiliates to join, except attracting through forums, Twitter, Facebook, blog posts... what else effective methods are there to attract affiliates? Thanks in advance! If you want to become a partner, PM me to advertise my Panda & Penguin SEO e-book: "Google Organic Search Marketing Success" - which you will find on ClickBank... Affiliates get 50 % share!
Super affiliates are contacted by many merchants; you are not doing them a favor by “allowing†them in your program. They are doing you a favor by making your brand successful, desirable and profitable online. Consider your affiliate program resources, consider your communication style, extend a partnership opportunity that a super affiliate would be attracted to. Build it and they will come. I want to emphasize the importance of smaller affiliates, first of all, they will help you build your new program up to make it more attractive to bigger affiliates; and secondly, you never know which one of them will be the next super affiliate. So, be patient, persistent, and attentive to the needs of all affiliates who have chosen to join your affiliate program
Thanks for your advice... How do you think I could bit on a group of "big fish" affiliates? I tried contacting several of them (bloggers, site owners, success story-tellers etc.)... Any concrete techniques to attract big players? Yes, they can boost my product, but what should be "in for them"? Why would they join? Except the commission, what do you think I should grant them?
First of all I think you should increase the commission from 50% to more. It is well known that many successful programs offer 75% commissions, so you're already shooting yourself in the foot I think by setting it at less. And yes, also in your product description you should have a mention of your affiliate page and provide many things, banners, email series, videos, ebooks, etc.. that can be rebranded and republished. After, it is, how do you know the super affiliates? Where can you get this information from? If you know some super affiliates, then study what they promote, how they promote it (I mean what they say when promoting them) and then tailor your offer to them before contacting them. Note: I think it is obivous but I want to say it, I'm not knowledgable about this, I'm not a vendor and not even a super affiliate, rather a newbie affiliate, I was just trying to come up with ideas and suggestions by putting myself in a vendor shoes for 5 minutes, so obviously my advice is very plain and simple, nothing you didn't think about before, sorry about that
In fact I am already working on my affiliate program info page... Thank you for your post, mate. I was contacting my previous contacts and current business partners. Could make a number of affiliates, but I'm still looking for bigger members. I guess I don't give more than 50 %. They should be happy with it, provided that this is a promising product. The overall price is discounted on the site temporarily. If you'd like to join, you're welcome!
Ok, I don't know if I will join, I'm a newbie affiliate and I've decided to focus on my french audience because it is easier for me to attract traffic on my french sites than my english ones. I have searched your product on clickbank, here is the description in the marketplace: Google Organic Search Marketing Success Google Panda & Penguin SEO Course To Power Your Site To Success In 2012 And Beyond! Unique Ideas, Never-before-seen Approach To Google Seo, In-depth Analysis Of The Panda And Penguin Algorithms. Forget Traditional Seo, Learn How Google Thinks In 2012. The first thing I see is that you're writing the description like you want to promote it to potential buyers, this is not the proper way since you should be talking to affiliates. Also it seems your product is so new that it doesn't have any stats: Stats: Initial $/sale: $0.00 | Avg %/sale: 50.0% | Grav: 0.00 Cat: E-business & E-marketing : SEM & SEO So starting with a Gravity of 0 and aving a 50% share, plus not talking to the affiliates in your description, it is really hard to attract the attention of experienced affiliates I would think. Also I saw that clickbank as a list of featured products, I don't know if it is legitimate or paid, but being in that list would be good for you.. http://www.clickbank.com/featured/
Actually the video is going to be up soon, but I wanted to make some sales before that... and I did. Though, I'm still curious about how one can recruit major affiliates. How to approach them, how to make them want to do it. There are so many SEO products out there...
What about your description? Have you submitted changes to clickbank? At the moment it is still the same.
I changed it. It should show up... or refresh your browser. Perhaps ClickBank is reviewing it and it's the weekend now... I'm unsure how much sponsored ClickBank listings are worth. Right now I'm working on a bit of video marketing.
We tried to sign up with Clickbank, but they don't seem to approve file hosters. Pretty sad though, their affiliate network would be pretty useful for it.
create a squeeze page to recruit affiliates, send traffic to that squeeze page via guest post for exemple and you will find affiliates
Any thoughts on smaller affiliates? Providing vision rehab therapy, not looking for massive customer base ...
Make a list of top seo products in the clickbank marketplace and then search for the product name, product name review on google which will give you some good number of review sites which are nothing but affiliates promoting the product. Now your job today is to go and contact each one of those site owners with a personalized message to join your affiliate program and request them to mail out to their email list. You need to offer them higher commission rate because the leads they send are targeted once you capture those lead and build a list you have potential buyers who will buy repeatedly from you. If you don't want to pay them 75 try 60% atleast. Many of those affiliates offer bonuses to buyers so you take advantage of this by creating a mini report with links to your money site (don't over do the linking) and give away this book to those affiliates for free and ask them to include this ebook of yours as a bonus. Make this a rebrandable ebook so that affiliates can include their affiliate id into them and get credit for the sales. Good luck..
What I've seen what other products do is sales competition for big prizes like new BMWs and what not. So, perhaps, if your budgets allows, put a competition with several prizes and person with most sales can win a brand new car or perhaps something worth less money.
This was a good read, it is an interview with the creator of truth about abs, and why 75% should be your affiliate share on clickbank, not 50%.. http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2011/11/02/the-truth-about-abs-mike-geary/ Also another interview of Mike Geary in video:
Ha ha ha... yeah right! I'll just buy a Ferrari tomorrow or offer a luxury trip to Vegas for a week and they will flock to my programme...
I thought the amount is more important than the percentage... that is why I kept it 50 %. Now it's on discount... Otherwise, I have quite a number of affiliates, just that one needs a stronger stream, more income
Is it a good idea to offer 75% commission to affiliates for higher priced products (>$50) or just for lower priced (<$20)?
