How to get them on board as much as possible? I know there are factors like - high commission - good pre-lunch - up sales - high converting sale page - quality product - and so on ... but my problem is: 1. i dont have any contacts on good affiliate marketers that I could ask to promote my product 2. i dont think i can come up with any up-sale or down-sale or OTO or whatever it is ... so what do you think?is it very important to have contacts and up-sale?
Honestly, I would do a little leg work here. I think it takes more than just placing your product / service out there. I would approach some great affiliates, give them the max you can afford to give them in the affiliate commission department in trade for advertising the product / service for you on their blog. Once the word gets out, other affiliates will jump on board that follow the more popular ones. That would be my approach anyhow.
The best way to handle this problem is to go to conferences and meet people. The other things you must do is test out your product with adwords to see how well it converts. All good marketers will want to know these figures before they will JV with you, so it's best to put it in your approach letter
