Hello..we have recently launched a affilate program for herbal products...would want some advice on how to attract affiliates to the program...& also get the affiliates who have joined to actively promote...we do have a page one ranking on google for quite a lot of keyword searchs & even the products have a decent rating..we also have promotions running what else can be done....i know a lot of stuff comes with vintage of the program..but is there a way to fasten the procedure
Hello, I'm also interested in developing affiliate programs, though our niche is a little bit different, we are looking for dedicated hosting and colocation hosting affiliates, but I guess the main principles are very much the same: offer quality products, competitive pricing for them to be able to sell your products and make good affiliate payments.
Offer a good percentage, offer a low threshold payout and offer to pay via paypal or direct deposit. Offer live and accurate reporting. Tell affiliates how they can improve conversions, provide promotion tools, banners. Let them know what sort of traffic converts well. Make them want to promote your products.
Targeted advertising - meaning, dont run a bunch of junk ads. Give your members options - one of the reasons why I leave affiliate programs is because there is a lack of options on banners and products. If I only want to display a banner for a certain company or product, then I should have the option to. RSS Feeds - Provide your members an RSS feed option on certain products. That way they can display new products on their pages with the RSS feeds. This is one feature that is often over looked. Automatic updating banners - I dont want to have to keep checking the affiliate program for new products. There should be an option for the banners to update with the newest products - if that is what I want, refer back to the "options" suggestion.
