I have blog directory ...its seems that also adsense ads related to blog eventhough that page category is more on finance...how to target right ads ? can anyone help
Is this a new blog?? A lot of webmasters have noticed that blogs typically take longer to get relevant Adsense ads. It will happen with time. Give it a few days for Google to properly cache your website and figure out what your blog is all about. In the meantime, try and ensure that you update the blog frequently and that the blog is created around a tight topic. Don't try and blog about everything in one single blog or you will never get relevant ads. Hope this helps! dfsweb
Lol - dfsweb... He said a blog directory not an actual blog! Anyway you could consider using section targeting. I literally just finished writing a blog about this topic. You could check it out and then implement it into your directory. Section Targeting That said is the site you're talking about Blogz-search.com? When it comes to directories I think it's hard for AdSense to determine which ads are relevant unless you give them a helping hand. Just looking at your financial page: 1. Your title, keywords, description tags in the <head> is all focused on blogs. 2. The url is: blogz-search.com/listblog.php?cat=7&PHPSESSID=e0590b72239e4bdc069a5a02eaa10b29 3. The only mention of finance is in the "Home >> Financial" and the one listing. You should try and add more content and keywords within each page: 1. Customize the PHP coding to give relevant title, description and keywords for each page. 2. Make use of section targeting if you need to. 3. Couldn't you use a mod_rewrite for this to change the url for each page to a more search and spider friendly one? Hope it helps!
Lol me too! Been trying to revise for my exams etc... How's your newest site coming along btw? (we talked about it a while back on this thread)
Possible reasons: 1. Google has not yet fully indexed your pages 2. No enough content - You need to have lot of listings related to the catagory. 3. Irrelevent content - Make sure each page has its own unique content, meta tags, etc.
Wow, you have a good memory!! Better than mine, 'cos I am not too sure which site I was referring to at the time. I think it was probably this one: www.wedo.co.nz It's obviously a wedding theme site. I am very happy with the domain name. I think it's short, snappy and to the point. I haven't been able to do much work on it as yet, as it's been quite crazy lately. I am really getting into "Salsa" these days and go out dancing three nights a week so I'm really knackered just about every day. Still, planning to launch it by mid-June at the latest. However, I have got all the content/ideas ready so if I get around 20 - 30 hours in, I should be able to have something up and running.
Lol - you've bought that many domains since then that you can't remember which one you were referring to?!?! To be honest I was recently thinking of getting another domain name myself! And I'm really looking forward to seeing that site once it's done
I saw 1 of the top Malaysian blog has this tag: <!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) --> content..bla...bla <!-- google_ad_section_end --> Is it work to get targetted ads ?
Yeah, I always seem to have enough ideas to keep me busy for 30 hours a day. Considering the fact that I do web stuff apart from a full-time job, I am always lagging behind. I have now decided to stop registering new domains and if I get any new ideas, I have decided to add these to my existing sites as sub-domains or sub-sites. This was, I can also flick some of the existing PR, links benefit and traffic from the old site to the new sub-site. But then, every couple of weeks or so I visit GoDaddy.com with a new idea looking for domains and end up registering something! I don't have too many though, but I am always one or two months behing schedule.
That comment is used to ignore sections of your source code - read the blog link I mentioned above!!!! I.E. This One!!! Lol - until recently the only thing stopping me from registering more domains was the fact that the hosting fee would go up but now I'm upgrading to a reseller package, i.e. "unlimited" bandwidth, domains etc... I don't think I'll be able to resist!!!
