Just sharing my thoughts. I once joined a program and within 4 weeks, I got 10 sales but because it requires a validation period, I did not receive my commissions instantly. 3 weeks after making those sales, I checked my account and realized that more than half of my sales were gone. I then emailed the support to verify but was given a blanket answer stating that they cannot reveal any details. I'm currently still using the system myself to promote other products as the system really provides value. I did try to contact those people who had signed up but only a handful replied. It couldn't have been bots as the system requires credit card info to sign up. Maybe I did something wrongly but this incidence taught me something. Liquidity. It is all about the cash flow in this business. You see, most IM/MMO systems do not pay out commissions instantly as they use a monthly subscription model. Programs like 5MinuteMogul are notorious for being tardy in their responses and payouts and this could impact your operations as you may require a portion of your commissions to buy traffic or make payments to keep things moving. The reason why so many people are aspiring to become solo ad sellers is because you get paid via PayPal instantly. Someone once told me that he doesn't believe in promoting products that require a monthly fee. Well I'm not against such systems but I base my decision on the value it provides. I'll only show the path that I've walked. I'll ask myself these questions: - What is the selling point of this system? E.g. Programs like Empower Network provide info that you can even find on this forum. It doesn't provide any value and you have to go against your conscience to lie in order to sell. - Can I use it to enhance my business? You'll definitely learn something when you sign up for a new system, but the question is how much? Am I able to use the tools within the system to promote my other businesses or simply just the product itself? - What are the payments? 5MinuteMogul uses a game board (monopoly) concept to teach people how to set up the system, and you'll have to complete a 'step' before you are allowed to move on to the next. One of the steps requires you to sign up for 'PureLeverage' (an autoresponder - this concept is pretty popular now). Another 20% of the system is dedicated to encouraging you to upgrade your membership in order to unlock more features. When you pay a monthly fee to promote a product, it can be pretty costly over time if you are a newbie. - Support System This shows how much they care about their members and if they are really interested in helping you with your business Lastly - Commissions Payout System As mentioned above. I'm currently promoting programs that pay out instantly (via PayPal or eWallet). I'm not saying programs that pay out monthly are bad, it is just my preference as I want liquidity. just my 2 cents. feel free to comment and share your experience Alvin
I work with proven CPA networks mainly, paying on-time.... Not fruitful to work with products not paying you money to promote there products.
I think it depends more on the system and opportunities you promote, not whether they payout instantly, monthly, or quarterly... If you build funded proposals into your sales funnel, you'll have multiple revenue streams coming in to use to fund your paid traffic for your main business, not just a single source of income. In that situation, you can eliminate your cash flow problem and promote products that are higher priced and pay slightly slower to bolster your overall profits. I prefer to mix a series of products that all help the person succeed sensibly, but do like opportunities that have monthly recurring income. Usually the "disappearing" sales are related to refunds, or trial period sales that never continued into a full program.
