Earlier today I was going through some directory references and found a website named askalink. Looks like they have an adsense donation scheme going on. Before you can submit a link you need to agree to this text (take special attention to the bolded text): It's obvious webmasters understand the exact meaning of this, regular users most likely not. But because of the niche it's clear only webmasters would visit this site. Looks like the directory owner found a gray area, since there's no clear statement of what a user should do to donate.
In all fairness to them, they aren't neccessarily asking to click any ads. Although it's clear to webmasters what they are probably referring to, they aren't specifically asking anyone to click the ads, just help them out. The chances are regular people will hardly use the directory, so they could think they mean anything.
For all we *cough* non-web-savvy surfers, know that could be referring to a Paypal donation, like kiteguy suggested
In my opinion it's pretty clear that it's not a paypal donation. If you want to donate via paypal you can buy a paid link with them. QUOTE: "it will give a compensation for a manual processing of YOUR links" - compensation aka. you click and we will review. But like I said, it's a gray area and some could believe that the meaning of this is a paypal donation, but to me it's obvious adsense click begging.
