Hello everyone, I have seen several times around this forum that one of the best ways to build links back to your site is to guest post on a blog with high credibility and page rank. I understand what this means, but how do you go about contacting someone who runs a site that relates to your niche to see if you can guest post? Is this strictly by invitation or is it appropriate to email them with a suggestion for a guest post? I'm also having trouble thinking of what type of site I would target for guest posting. I'm running an article directory focused on arts and entertainment, however who would be interested in having me guest post? Someone selling entertainment products like acting lessons or movie reviews would not be interested because their readers probably dont care about an article directory. But then I feel like speaking to an internet marketing niche site would not want to hear from someone who has an entertainment article directory because it does not appeal to everyone they are targeting. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Search for the keywords you're interested, not just for the sake of the keywords but just to find sites that are related. Come up with a professional email where you can plug their website name into the top to save yourself from writing it each time, and get to work! I'm looking for guest reviewers for my videogame review website, but it's tricky to find people who will put in the level of quality we're looking for. Patience patience and more patience is what I keep telling myself!
Save yourself some effort and check out sites like http://myguestblog.com, http://blogguests.com/, http://www.guestblogit.com and http://www.bloggerlinkup.com/
I guess you could use Contact Us form to contact the site moderator. In most of the cases sites which allow guest posting have a separate page or link to instructions on guest posting.
