My client has asked me to analyze his site. Now, I need the tool for analysis of negative aspects of external links. He wants to know what kind of links is pointing towards his site. He also wants to know if the site has any negative links. The problem is that I know how to look for links with Google’s backlink search. Now the concern is that how do I know that these links have negative impact. The site has over five hundred external links. He wants to be warned of links from web spam sites/pages and known link brokers/sellers. Kindly share.
Type "backlink check" into Google and lots of tools come up to check the backlinks - different backlinks tend to show on each tool; some order backlinks by site and also give anchor text and no of outbound links etc. Slightly different from what you're asking, but I'd have thought a backlink analysis would also look at ensuring a mix of anchor text, amix of different types of sites etc?
TS, the so-called 'analysis of negative aspects of external links' is not the most important things to start when a client asks you for a website promotion. It takes time, and may bring zero value at the end. Concentrate on positive development instead. Moreover, even if you find 'bad links', you can't do anything with this, you are not the owner of those bad sites, right. Next, if you still wanna check this, go through the sites linking to you and check them for: cloacking, spammy texts, doorways, autoblogging, too many OBL, etc. Good luck.
to see the sites that are linking to your site, add your site in the Google webmaster tools.there you will be able to see the links
