How to Advertise you forum

Here will be a list of ways to advertise your forums,
I am in the process of advertising my forums so I will add ways that I find useful.
If anyone has any good tips please post them on here.

The tips:
1.Word of mouth is big
2.like other sites, make a sig with a link
3.digg threads
