how to advertise using myspace?

I heard from many that myspace could be used to generate traffic to your website.
So I created my profile there. Now, what do I do next?
How were you able to use your myspace profile to generate traffic to your website.

Any tips or advices on how to make best use of my myspace profile?

 

get millions of friends. then put out a bulletin. the problem is getting a lot of friends.

 

No not millions, just find a friend with say 50,000 + friends to post bulletins to promote your site....

 

do any of you get a considerable increase in traffic from these bulletins?

also what do you normally say in them? do you use html?

 

Please don't expect the entire calvary to be rushing to your myspace page just from bullentins. it will take alot of advertising here and there or like they say in the political world, campaigning in forums, classifieds, etc. You'll be lucky to get even 50,000 people to campaign for you unless you give them a pay raise.

But its no different than anywhere else to get your business out there. And you must remember, target your audience or you'll just be wasting your time. If you sell software, find a software crowd and never try to sell the product. Sell the solution. How it will help them? What will it do for them to be interested in it?.....

Ive done advertising with an account with 80k... brought me around 700 uniques a day

 

I guess myspace will have the similar effect as the forum, but differet rule of the game.
