How to advertise my website?

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by aab1, Apr 9, 2012.

I have a website where I sell an eBay auction sniping software as well as a web based version in the form of a service.

Currently most of my sales come from listing the software on eBay but I'd like to advertise my website to get more sales from it but don't really know where or how to advertise it.

I don't mind paying a few hundred a month as long as it returns me more than that in sales. Where would be good places to advertise this sort of software and service?

    Thank you

I read one article that says content marketing will boost this 2012. Contents can be in any form such as video or text. If you really have budget, you might want to utilize Google ads or pay-per-click style in Facebook. Another good suggestion is posting/participating in Craigslist. Google it now.

Use facebook ads, google ads, and buysellads ;) These are the best tools from which you can advertise your site to masses, provided you have the budget for that

Try the usual: craigslist and backpage. You can get most of your sales from them.

Since you have a budget, I'd agree with Google Adwords. You'll get instant feedback which you can either scale up, or know that you have profitable product that you can then promote through seo, social media, and classifieds. You can keep running your ppc campaigns while you add in the other methods.

You should start looking for joint venture partners or solo ad spots in your niche.

Try marketing on Youtube. It's the 3rd most visited website in the world and it's like a search engine within itself, except people can look at your videos. I would have a few videos talking about how my product works and how it will help whoever buys it, then I would have a few testimonial videos. It's just the best way to communicate effectively with people. People love videos.

I agree with all the suggestions above, you have so many to pick from. Also you can email advertising from people with large lists.

With PPC if you are unsure of how to do this, maybe get someone expert in this to do this for you,you can waste a lot of money on this if not done correctly.

I wish you well with all you do.

Using google Adwords would get you traffic. And as mentioned earlier, do it right so that you'll get the required traffic without paying too much. More importantly, you'll get traffic fast if done right.

Quite honestly, Setting up a campaign on google adwords and facebook on a CPC basis would probably the best cost effective solution imo :)

I've been running AdWords for 3 days now, so far it cost me about $30 and only got me one sign up that never even signed in after signing up and zero sales.

What am I doing wrong? Am I bidding too much per click? Too little? I know nothing about this other than it costs me infinitely more than it returns.

    Thanks
