Okay, I'm wondering if I should get into advertising my site. I've heard of Adwords, duh? but wonder if I can compete for my keyword "gadgets". Has anyone successfully advertised a tech-related site? What programs have you used? Totally new to this. Skinny
Check this out: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2005-09,GGGL:en&q=gadgets Looks like gadgets are a word being optimized for in page titles and bid on in AdWords (I hope they added "inspector" as negative keyword!)
Adwords is a very good way to do it. I recently purchase an ebook - Adsense Black Book and there are some nice strategies in it. Some are questionable strategies so get a good grip on adwords before you dive into some of the advanced features discussed in the ebook.
I agree with Adwords Black Book (personally love it!). Costly but to me I have personally already generated 3 times the cost in 2 days. But heed the warnings and be careful if you buy it. If you want $50 cash back check out my signature! chad
I'm actually pretty confused on how it works. I know that you bid on a keyword, i.e. gadgets. However the person who bids more gets more ad impressions. So, what would I have to bid to get decent exposure? Skinny
I would concentrate on free marketing. Submit your blog to as many directory sites as you can. Submit it to every blog site there is.... Write articles relating to your blog and submit them to every article site there is. A good resource list made by a friend of mine: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=62009 edit: your blog isn't loading for me..... just a FYI
hey Matt can you try again. I haven't exceeded bandwidth yet. Anyone getting the same problem? Skinny
