How to advertise a wallpapers website?

I am thinking of starting a wallpapers website.
Will provide around 50k+ wallpapers of different categories. The best collection of cars, celebrities, nature, towns, places, animals etc.

I can make a cool design too but how to advertise it?

I just have small budget but for getting good results tell me the free ways.

I would brand some or all of your wallpapers with your URL (small enough so that it doesn't distract the user), then get them out there through photo sharing communities (Flickr, etc), file sharing communities (Limewire, Bittorrent, etc.) and ads. Maybe make a CD with a few and give it away, just anything to go the wallpapers out there and on peoples' screens.

Focus on the niche ones especially; car people and video game people love unique wallpapers, and they're prone to change their wallpaper often, especially if they see something they like. You could try posting some of your papers on car forums or gamer forums. Once the branded papers start circulating, you should get traffic/links.

I would try a targetted Myspace bulletin blast. It's not free, but relatively inexpensive.

BTW it's offtopic but how much do you expect to make from a wallpapers website?

 

Submit to a few search engines, word of mouth, URL in pics, put your pics in all the image sharing site you can find. Those are the best free ways of advertising.
