Hey there, I believe this is the best place, if not could a mod move this please? Anyway, I have created a media website, which has postings about video games, movies, music and technology. I have been using social media (twitter, Facebook, stumble upon) to gain some readers. We just opened tuesday, and are building content, but in the last 2 days our average has been about 100 unique views per day. Other than social media, and adwords, what are other ways to build traffic? Also, because this is such a general website, for SEO, what keywords should I focus on? I do SEO for every article based on the articles keywords, but what should the keywords for the actual website itself be? The link is in my signature.
Apparently, you don't have a signature so can't take a look at your site. Here's what you can do to uncover relevant keywords for your site: - Open Google keyword planner - Click "search for new keyword and ad group ideas" - Enter your website in the space provided - Click "get ideas" Based on the words on your homepag, the tool will generate lots of relevant keywords you can target with your homepage.
Not really sure, but I see a link in your signature, but no problems.. First thing to say about the pop-up, you should remove it if the person ALREADY follows you. Also, if you use an Ad-Blocker the site refreshes when the ad tries to pop-up. For keywords maybe you should concentrate on your title and your domain name as it's good, the word MEDIA is there, the design looks good. Use Market Samurai for keyword research according to me!
