    You can promote your forum by being active on other popular discussion fourms like DP, being active on other blogs, submitting articles on article dirs and sharing your latest updates in press release sharing websites

    You can promote your forum at many different discussion boards (dofollow or nofollow), if you are targeting traffic then you can go for any forum, but if you want to do SEO for your forum then go for dofollow sources.
