Participate in related "blog carnivals", post useful and contributory messages on "industry blogs", add yourself to blog directories, write unique compelling content... with perhaps a second pass being done to make sure you are using relevant keywords that might bring traffic. Dunno, I've done these, but I'm not swimming in traffic or income...
Write as much content as possible so that you have many pages indexed in the searches. Incorporate buttons that will bookmark your blog on social networking sites. I think there's a button out there called 'addthis' which has most of the social network sites incorporated in it. Ask your firends to bookmark you with their social networks too.
On a blog related to SEO, i really think the most effective way for you to promote it will be through quality content and linkbait. It seems to work for most of the other SEO blogs.
