How to advertise a baseball forum

My forum is generally pretty active, but I want to take it to the next level. However I'm struggling to find good places to advertise my forum. I have used Google adwords which hasn't done much for me unfortunately. I've looked for quality baseball sites to advertise my forum on, but haven't found many. My budget is xxx to get this forum going. Any help would be appreciated. My forum is in my signature.

    Thanks for your help,
    Brad

    Nice forum.

You could join myspace, send out friend requests to those participating in the baseball groups or baseball forums, and invite them over.

    Also, Go Pirates!

You can try article submission... get a unique article writen about baseball and then promote it.. a link to your forum will be added to each page the article is reposted in.

Brad, I don't know if this sort of advertising could be had within your budget, but...

Are there any baseball stadiums in your town? If so, have you considered purchasing some sort of advertising (food receipts, wall posters, flyers, etc.)?

    EDIT: AdWords may also work.
