    Hi

I have no idea about server administration but would like to learn.

Are there any good books, website or any other resources that I could learn from? I know there are thousands but I was wondering what would you suggest? Where to start?

Something like w3schools.com would be awesome.

Thank you in advance for all the links and titles!

I think the best will be to check which operating system server is running with. For example if it is CentOS, check CentOS documentation, if you use CPanel or LXadmin those also have documentation.

If you really want to learn, you won't get it all from a book. Nothing beats experience that is then backed-up with learning from books, courses, and other people. You need to get your hands dirty. Why not do some after-work volunteering for a hosting company or an IT services company to get some real-world experience? You'll learn it more quickly - and remember it better - when you see the things you read about being used in the real world.

Set up a server at home of get a VPS with your OS of choice.
Get some books and later possibly think about some courses and qualifications.
    Good luck ! :)
