How to add something in my sidebar ?

Hi,

I have a wordpress website with 2 side bars, the theme is widget ready. I have all my navigation in the left sidebar. How can I add something in the sidebar, like ads or text ?

Thanks, but I don't need an extra sidebar. I already have 2 sidebars, what I'm looking for is how to fill the second one (empty) of a widget ready theme with my own stuff.

 

Create a text widget. If you need to a custom widget that will run php code then download a plugin like Executable PHP widget.

do you know if you can configure the widget to display different banners on specific pages ? For example when people are on the page about Topic A, displaying a link or banner for a related product. When on page about Topic B, display another related product to this specific page.

Thanks The Seeker, but I think I've found what I need. There are customizable widgets that allow to show text/links/ads on specific pages or posts. Just what I needed.
