can someone tell me how to add my site to google directory-ODP. I have subbmited my site for many times to google directory. but cant success. give me some suggestion. thank you for your advice! john
Guy, you should submit google once, there is no need to submit again and again, if your site is not against the polity of google, google will index your site in two weeks.
Submit your site to Dmoz.org Wait Wait more Wait even longer Accepted? If yes, wait a few months to be listed in google directory. If no, just forget about it
Consider yourself lucky if you are included in the ODP. Otherwise, don't loose your heart. It takes time for processing. The often repeated quote is "submit and forget or forget to submit"...
i agree honestly i my submission there is always in failure...but having your site listed there is a very lucky one..
Once u submit that's enough. But no use of the submission now google not much considering link from Directories. So dont worry much about it
Most of the time, those who didn't managed to get in was mostly because of the reason whereby the site/blog were not submitted to the right and relevant category. Looks for competitors' site which got accepted and follow them. Sometimes, if everything else fails, then just be patient. There are some who submitted for years but still never got it.
dmoz is key to listed in google directory but some how dmoz verification code is not working, even if you write exactly.
No need to submit your site in ODP again & again. Just choose your most appropriate category & submit your site then wait for the listing visit this one for ODP forum http://www.resource-zone.com/ Here you can discuss your problem related to ODP
What? Isint google supposed to be fair to everyone. The links from a directory should be the same quality as one from a normal website.
I don't know... but does it matter? The advice there is often rather helpful, and they discuss specific sites, unlike the alternative, where webmasters are often treated like trash. *shrug* Though, maybe there would be more active editors there if they would not have been randomly let go for various other reasons without proof or a fair trial, lol....but then, I'm sure you are not willing to discuss that Seriously though, of the editors that did post there, how many were asked to stop? Now, why do you think that is... maybe because it was finally opening the doors of communication between editor & the rest of the world? Maybe you could use your powers of good and start posting there yourself?
I'm not aware that any were and I can't imagine why they would be. Do you have any evidence of that or is it just conjecture?
Deliberately ignoring the submission guidelines (which require you to suggest your site once to the one best category) is more likely to be counter-productive.
