How to add menu bar?

    Hello, I am new at joomla and I was stuying many blogs, forums about how to add menu bar. But nothing is working out.
    Can someone please suggest me how to add menu bar items and article in joomla page??
    I need steps from basic to final.

    1. Go to back-end of your site with link look like: you-site-name/administrator
    2. Go to Extensions -> Modules Manager -> Main Menu title
    3. Tick to enable modules -> position: left
    4. See on the right: Menu Name: choose mainmenu
    5. Click Apply - > it will show to front-end :)

    which version you are using?

    all you have do from your admin area...and joomla have a great user-friendly admin panel!

    if you don't add sample data when you installing joomla then you should make it first

    First you must create articles. Then go to Menus > main menu (using a default Joomla installation) and create a new menu item. Choose "Article> Article Layout" type for the menu item and then in the right hand column select the correct article.
