    There is a plugin available to add XML Sitemap to Wordpress. Refer -
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/.This might help. :)

    google also acceps rss feeds as sitemap. you try to submit it as an alternative of wp sitemap generator plugin

    Update only when you have added new pages to the site. You can set priority on the page and accordingly the Googlebot will crawl your page. You need not rebuild the sitemap everytime you update your blog.

    best method is use plug in
    there are many plug ins which you can use to make site map and you must add meta also

    Did you get thie information that Google does not accept your sitemap from the Google webmaster area?

    Is your blog set up on your home page as this may have some effect?

    There are many web sites which can generate a site map for you and you just have to enter the site map there and it will be generated within few minutes.
