Go to wordpress.org and go to the link extend and do a search on adsense under plug-ins. There are a few VERY good adsense plug-ins you could use. I have some installed on my blog.
Pik which one works best for you.

Yes, using a plug-in is the best way, although you can also do it manually by going into the layout section of your blog template and modifying the code, probably something you should only try if you are familiar enough with HTML to know where you're putting it :)

If you go to the WordPress Plugins page and search for adsense, you'll find plugins other people have created to help you put adsense in your blog. They all have instructions for how to use them - check out some of those.

    try this...

    find the plugin you want - I use adman - http: //wp.uberdose . com/2006/11/05/adman/
    download it
extract it to your harddrive if necessary
    open your ftp program
upload the extracted plugin to your website - /wp-theme/content/plugins
log in to your website /wp-admin
    go to plugins
find the plugin you want and click on activate

then just follow the instructions that come with the plugin

use a table (2 columns) in the page and enclose the adsense between a td element with text in the other element

one easy way is to locate a template that has adsense already built-in. then all you have to do is substitute your adsense id and its ready to go. you should be able to pick one up for free in wordpress template directories.

If your template supports widgets just go to widgets and there should be a widget for just text or something. You can paste your code in there and save. It should appear in your sidebar.
