Use the google keyword tool, also you can use many SEO tools, they provide good keyword analysis.

You can't "add keywords in adsense". It's automatic, the ads depend on the content you have on your page.

If you want to truly be successful with adsense (which i am still doubtful about unless you have a huge website or lots of small ones) Then you need to ensure you don't try to manipulate advert relevance.

However, the only time i have ever known keyword stuffing for adsense keyword purposes to help is if you have a userbase who like to click your adverts just to help you out, they have no interest in the ads though ... which eventually leads to your account being closed.

If you still want to stuff your page with high paying keywords, combine the use of something like <div style="display:none">Keywords Here</div> and your advert (use at your own risk, the use of hiding keywords and stuffing them to change the advert displayed on your page is asking for your Adsense account to be banned). High paying keywords can roughly be found via the google keyword tool, things like insurance, debt, lawyers etc could all be seen as high paying terms.

Instead of chasing high paying keywords with adsense, have you considered an ad network like prosperent.com? They show targeted product related ads to your visitors. So, instead of targeting high paying keywords, you target thousands of easy to rank for products. The earnings are higher because you get paid a commission instead of a per click amount. The network is in private beta though, so you need an invitation code: VE0XOSZZSTFY1Z

Adsense will display relevant ads according to the keywords in the article or website.
if you are writing about running shoes, and Adsense display knitting advertisements, that means your usage of keywords is wrong.
