I am planning to add the feature on my site where users get an ebook or something for signing up. Anyone know what service to use for that?

For example- John chow gives you a free ebook as soon as you sign up.

Is it aweber doing all of that or you can do that manually as well?

Yes - you just use Aweber or GetResponse - or whatever Autoresponder you want to use. You will create your campaign to set up the box on your site - then set up an email to go out immediately after confirming their opt in. You will include a link to your ebook in that email.

It isn't hard to set up the opt in form when using services like this - you basically just copy and paste.

    Good luck!

Any autoresponder does this, and it's very easy to setup! Your visitors will really like it. :)

Yup, Aweber can do this. You can set the incentive file as either an attachment or (more recommended) you can include a file to the download page for the file on your website.
