How to activate Google Analytics for our wordpress.com website ?

Do you know, how to activate Google Analytics for our wordpress.com website ?

It's a great plugin and integrates GA with WP really well.

google analytics, how it works for wordpress.com..??? plz answer

 

If you're familar with the theme coding then go ahead and register yourself for an account in Google Analytics then add your site as new profile to get the code.

However, if you're not familar with coding, then get the plugin to be installed on your wordpress is much easier like Site87 mentioned.

Once you have the code integrated into your wordpress theme, wait for a day or so and it should activate the report analysis in analytics site.

In my knowledge wordpress is provide his analytics setting to judge the traffic and hits.

 

Google Analytics for WordPress is the simplest to use.

1) First log into your analytics account and scroll down to Add Analytics Profile and click on the link
2) When you get your code go into the Google Analytics file of your WP site, located in the settings area
3) Select "manual insertion" and you're off to the races

 

Register in Google Analytic and get code, add this code in website header or footer part

 

Thank you for all response. The problem is we use free blog hosting from wordpress.com. Wordpress.com don't allow execution of javascript code. Do you have any more advice ?

 

Just sign up for your website in Google Analytics, it will generate a tracking code for your website, just copy & paste the code before </body> tag of the root page of the website. Save the settings to activate google analytics account.

 

as far as my knowledge is concerned, you can't integrate google analytics with wordpress.com blogs. It is available only for self hosted WP blogs and not for wp hosted blogs. Thanks.

 

By using plug-in in your word-press account you can activate Analytics.
