**Sometimes it's simply better to stop and reset, sometimes it's worth chasing your conversion mastering techniques, the above shows a fine line of some success but it's borderline profitable for you which means it will be even less for affiliates once the pay is split.

Yes most people aim for at least 1-2% for their pages, and that's on overall targeted traffic not just direct adwords.

I find it is best to position yourself as the affiliate, and do promo's for your product as your own affiliate, that way you get a real environment test on bum marketing, articles, landers, as well as direct. Remember not all your affiliates will go direct and it's by no means an indicator of overall performance in your niche or for your product.

Why aren't you testing presells? Have you tried other price points? Have you tried adding bonuses? Changing copy/closers/graphics/etc? Do you have upsells to make it more worth it for affiliates? Are you sure your ads are peaked and you really know what you're doing with adwords? Not saying you don't but perhaps that .05% would be 1.5% for someone else, and .002 for someone else.

I won't tell you to do any specific thing - but I'll say that if it were up to me, when I get to this step and I can't get it to convert well, I leave it/sell it.

YOU, are simply a baseball player, and you're starting to get good at your craft. The more times you are up to bat the better your average will get, the more likely you'll be to hit 1-2% or have a GREAT idea not look for money but truly try to offer value to your customers on something YOU are passionate about (sorry I find it hard to believe you built your product out of passion, you saw a niche you thought was hungry it didn't matter what it was... next time look in your heart, find something you LOVE and are an expert/authority in, and develop your product around positive deliverables, don't look at money yet, look at being the best solution/service/gap fill, in your niche.

^ Lastly, never assume, that's what all this split testing/general testing is for, so you can eliminate assumptions and have cold hard data that is undisputable.

**Thank you all for the kind words re this thread, though I'm only responding to good questions as stated, I appreciate your reading and please take what you can from this. I'm glad you see there is no fuckery going on here nor am I trying to pull anything, just time I helped people a bit and this year is the year of good karma for me (For those that don't know, I just finished giving $10,000 away in a talent contest, and my 10 winners are starting products with me - have a look - http://www.10khustle.com), you help enough people get what they want/need, you get what you want 10 fold.

EDIT: Actually I'm really proud of this 10khustle and for those that are lazy to go look, here watch this: THESE are what make good products IMO, TALENT not just a good marketer, TALENT or being a PRO in something.
