How to access a directory that is full?

Hello,

This is an extremely important and urgent question, any help would be highly appreciated.

I have a directory on my server containing highly important documents.
Unfortunately, after a script malfunction (looping), the directory has been flooded by empty files until the directory reached a limit where I can't open it from an FTP client or cPanel?

How else could I access it?
