How to accept online credit card payments. There are many payment gateways, but all are charging a setup fee. Is there any1 providing payment gateway for free? Country : India.

Paypal accepts payments and I don't think they charge a setup fee. There is also google checkout.
Some of the banks offer incentives to use their merchant services and it may be worth shopping around.

I don't think Google Checkout is available in India. Paypal, 2checkout should be your good options. Also, consider to get a merchant account in your country to take customer's credit card directly.

Use paypal, it doesn't charge any setup fees, integrates with WHMCS.

2CO reseller account is the best worldwide solution. But that is very very expensive system as for my taste.

If you don't want to pay a monthly fee for payment gateway go with PayPal or Google Checkout.

You can create a merchant account with Paypal to accept payments via credit card on your site. You won't be charged for the setup, however, you need to pay some percentage of the amount towards Paypal for every transaction.

Paypal has several options for accepting payments. You can integrate shopping carts or use payment buttons, etc. Just check out Paypal to see all the options they have.

That is 1 downside of it, but I still love it since I have started using 2checkout I haven't had any Fraudulent payments that resulted in Chargeback fee's. :)

Check every payment carefully. And call every customer. That is very important to remember about. Especially when you get new payments.

Paypal these days is a must have payment gateway, but additional payment gateways i will choose when I actually would determinate where my service would be provided if like for example you provide your service in India when you better to search for India payment solutions (local banks, etc). Even in the US (according to Bloomberg) every second person has credit card, so it's realy better to check the most popular ways of charge in your local area.
If you are looking for something internation I could recommend Wirecard (German bank and payment agregator) which even works with online casinos and risky accounts, but you will get involved in a lot of paperwork (you must have valid business, etc).
For other options to accept the payments I would recommend 2CO as it does not require much info for start to accept credit cards.
