This wordpress site ( http://www.groomweddingspeech.org ) using html post links. If I move my mouse cursor over the post links I see that the links are in html format. Example : http://www.groomweddingspeech.org/bride-and-groom-wedding-speech-ideas.html Normal WP sites Example : http://www.groomweddingspeech.org/bride-and-groom-wedding-speech-ideas/ (Without .html) this returns 404 error. How is this ? Is he using some plugins or has he done some custom coding. Is using html in WP good for SEO.
first .html have nothing to do with SEO & SE listing etc... 2nd I think he has done some .htaccess tricks.... may be.. but not sure
You can try making a custom permalink with the html extension on the end eg. /%category%/%postname%.html Apparently, that works for posts but not pages. You need to use a plugin for pages, like this one.
