    Hi,
This is a blog submitted recently to one of my directory. I wonder how this blog got PR8? Because, when i checked this blog (as it was of highest PR in my directory), I wondered there was nothing special content. I checked it with every PR tool it shows PR8. But when checked with google toolbar PR tool, it shows PR 0. Is this Fake PR8?
UPDATE: Sorry here is the Link

I can't find the site in Google's index.

I found 8 backlinks in Yahoo - none with anything more than a PR 2.

    I'm stumped.

First of all you check the google cache.
There is no way PR8 site wouldn't have a google cache
    so there you have it

I'm not an expert in this field, but I think that a 301 redirect in htaccess will do that.

Thanks for the green :D. Anyway I did some research on the topic and found out that scammers use a combination of redirects (either .htaccess or PHP server side) and cloaking software (which only sends the search engine bots to the redirected high PR website). It is actually incredibly easy to pull and this is why we see a rise of such frauds.

Bottom line is that you should always check with fake PR detectors before purchasing a high PR link. Typically the spoofed PR is in the range of PR6-PR8 (although any PR can be faked), so you should be extra careful when purchasing such links.

    Best regards, George

In livepr, the site's PR is 0, with no Google backlinks
