http://www.apheda.org.au/campaigns/child_labour/ There are milions of western organizations working against child labour. Who is it that does that? Its rich people, mostly females that want to "help", And they have absolutley no understanding of the real world. In the early 1900s westerners worked even as children, this has slowly dissapeard. Instead there is rich spoiled people working against child labour in other nations. During the french revolution, the french queen heard that people couldnt afford buying bread. So she said, "why dont they buy sweats and cakes then"? This is how it works, people in the west that complain that Mcdonalds is using children to make toys in china. Some of them come with idiotic questons, "why dont they hire their parenths"? It will be fun to see when the american children asking these questons will send their children to work in 20 years.
Except Marie Antoinette never said "let them eat cake." She was, in fact, fully aware of people's misfortune. In the same way, people who are against child labor aren't as clueless as you think they are.
Marie Antoinette said that, if you are reffering to that movie "marie antoinette", played by that spiderman chick, yes she said she never said it, its however just a movie. people against childlabour have no idea how it works, they say "if they go to school instead they can make something of themselves, let the parenths work". Oh good, then who is gonna pay for the education? Who is going to pay for their logistics?
The movie? Are you kidding? "Let them eat cake" is one of the most well-known examples of a misquote. Perhaps it is you who are clueless. People who are against child labor know that ceteris paribus, getting rid of it won't do much good. Child labor is often used as an example to demonstrate a flaw in the system.
Instead of making there kids work they should just sell there summer home or get rid of the hired help, like the pool cleaner or gardener. Doesn't make any sense at all, they probably were not diversifying there stocks and bonds portfolio. Boycott Mcdonalds toys!
Child labor is bad but they bring home money to feed their family. To address this problem, we need a holistic approach. If we want to put them back in school, we need to help to find ways to bring food to their tables.
