How the HELL do people do this with proxys?

People make a brand new proxy site, brand new domain and everything, and go from 0 hits a day to like 1,000UV in like 3 days, then they sell it for like $500! How do they get the bloody traffic?

My proxys a disaster, ive done everything I can think of to get traffic but its not even getting 100UV daily...

 

they buy the traffic... that is why most people want to see the "referrers"

 

How have you been marketing your proxies? That makes a huge difference on getting traffic.

 

Have they said this, or, have you seen their logs that shows their stats?

 

You might want to post in expat type of forums to promote the proxy site. I know in Thailand, there are several expat forums and most of the people using the sites use proxies.

How many proxy sites have you got going? If you've got a few, just make a proxy info page and highlight your site or sites as the best proxy. Promote that info page and get people to click and use your proxy.

 

Hey Whitey. Last week I launched 2 proxies and yesterday I got over 2000 uniques on one and just under 1000 uniques on the other. All I did was pay some people to submit my sites to various places. One person I paid $10 to submit to 30 groups. Another person $3 to submit to a few groups and some stumbles and other random submissions. And another person $3 to submit to 60 topsites.

I have not really studied my traffic logs to see which submissions were most worth it though but as you see, for a small investment you can raise a lot of traffic with no effort

 

yup, submitting to proxy groups usually gets you some traffic

and proxy topsites too

 

Its never occurred to me to pay other people to submit my sites for me...i am such a bone head! *making note to do so*
