How the heck?...I quadrupled my earnings

    Seriously

I re-vamped my blog, and my earnings suddenly jumped. I have no idea exactly why, I just cleaned the site up a bit so it looked a little more professional.

Wow. I think it's just luck right now - but I'm praying that this luck doesnt run out.

I did implement many of the suggestions made here at DP - perhaps that had something to do with it :)

many thanks guys for your advice - I really appreciate it - this is my first and only site. I dont use adsense as a source of income, just to earn a couple of bucks to buy some beer :)

but i hope that sometime soon, I'll be able to get my first checque from google!

Right side is below the content for me in IE as well. Probably just a padding/margins prob in the css.

I always found error when opening in IE. Infact the right column of your page is shifted downwards and starts where your left column (larger one) ends. But in Opera it opened correctly

I can confirm that it works in all browsers except IE

haha, go figure. I'll try to figure out whats wrong, but I have no CSS experience and am using a template - hopefully I can get this going

Your blog looks good (I use FF), but you really hop around in topics.

Indeded, it pushes sidebar in IE down.

What you need to do is, set up margins right in your CSS for sidebar. Some margin is set to overflow the width of sidebar. Thats why it breaks. Check specifically, sidebar margins, and recalculate how much width you gave to it.
This change should fix the problem.

Let me know if this helped.

You might want to read up on the IE box model hack for some quick fixes to these kinds of issues.

Actually, IE jacks up the Wordpress sidebar a lot. Try removing the image you have in there, or shrinking it a little bit. If you change the import settings at all, by deleting a little line of code and pasting an image over it unknowingly, it will push the sidebar down in IE

You can learn more at wordpress.org and searching "broken sidebar in IE" -- I had this SAME problem yesterday with my new http://yirmumah.net layout, I was installing a new theme and the sidebar was jacked up-- i tried EVERYTHING!!! it turned out, I accidently pasted over a settings call in the header.php file and BAM! it jacked it up!

My guess is with your thing, it's most likely the image is bigger than the width of the sidebar in the stylesheet or padding.

    --Firefox ROCKS!!!

When you say it quadrupled do you mean it went from something like 40 cents a day to 1.60, $4 to $16 or $40 to $160?

There is a big difference there!

One of your recent posts is probably popping up on page 1 for some searches. Check your logs.
