Forget how, tell us how much traffic you got from it.

The links will be nofollowed anyway. I assume the link (second to last comment) to http://www.seethisitem.com/ is the one you are talking about.

Yes, that is the one. I am not really concerned with b/l's or traffic here, but can this post do me any harm? Should I respond/comment since it appears like i posted it when in fact I didn't.

I apologize for *caring* about this, however someone posted this using my site as the author therefore impersonating me. On top of that, they used the anchor text 'not-organic' to link to my site. Why the heck would someone do that?? If they wanted to use my site as an example of directory submissions and used there OWN name/website as author, fine. That would not have bothered me, this does. For me, it is not always about the b/l's and traffic.

20 does actually seem pretty bad. Matt Cutts is a very well read blogger in the SEO community so you would think that if he links to a blog good or bad in his view then lots of people will check out the link to see what point he is trying to put across.

Also Matt does not seem to throw a lot of SEO problem links out there so that should help get the traffic across that much more.

I would think you would get more like 300-400 pageviews at least

Getting a comment on Matt Cutts blog is not all that wonderful.

And about the link who cares. Someone spammed my site on some forums. All I can do is try and clean up and go on.

Lot of dumb f**ks would do it. All you can do is to inform Matt about it. He will take it out for you.

Matt loves to manually zap spammers out of google's index, so I would email him and explain its not you.

I agree with Davism, just e-mail Matt and you should be fine. I agree that it's odd someone would waste their time adding a link and making it look like it was you, but there are far too many people with too much time on their hands! Unless they begin getting more brazen with their attacks, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    I agree.

And also, "non-organic" as an anchor? why would they do that?
