How the heck can I run CHKDSK without my XP CD?

    One of my hard drives wont boot properly so I want to run CHKDSK but I don't have an XP CD. How can I do this?

    start> run> type cmd

    when windows opens type chkdsk /f

    hit y and restart

    oops just realized you arent booting right. have you tried safe mode?

    Just get a copy of SpinRite 6, WAY better than CHKDSK and worth the money.
