Anyone tell me, how the google rank is calculated using links from Yahoo Site Explorer or Links From Google Webmaster Tools. Because now i have 10000+ links from Yahoo Site Explorer and 125000+ links Google Webmaster Tools. please tell me how the Page Rank is calculated ?
it is very important that you have follow links to your site, that have PR. nofollows won't count .so,what matters is the quality of the links, not the quantity
There is no formula available, but to gain higher PR, just make sure you build quality relevant backlinks.. Thousands of backlinks from forum profiles and blog comments won't help..
It is only Google that know how to calculate the ranking, it is one of the things you can not find on the internet.
Google PR is based on lots of things, indexed pages, linked sites and backlinks. No one knows the exact formula they have thats why we have SEO consultants and stuffs.
What is your exact question? "Google ranking" or "Google Pagerank"? (aka. PR) - Google has their own separate way to calculate the link and each website ranking and has nothing to do with the way Yahoo is doing. I would recommend you stick with results from Google Webmaster tools since they have been updated more frequent compared to Yahoo SiteExplorer. - If you meant Pagerank then no one could tell you, even a guess. Google made a lot of change to their PR algorithm since many webmasters "abused" them to calculate rough website value and sell text links based on PR solely.
There is a calculation and algorithm on how to compute page rank. The easy way to explain it is by making an example referring to Website A which has Page rank of 4 linking to Website B having a page rank of 5. The page rank 4 would benefit from this. The link juice could be shared from Website B to Website A. So, there's a possibility that Website A will improve its page rankings.
You need do follow links with good pr ranking sites linking back to yours it's also a plus if it's relevant to your niche ... You can post comments to .gov or .edu blogs to get a do follow link back to your site. That will give you link juice to boost up your rankings.
Page Rank (PR) is computed using a rather complex algorithm which not only takes the number of backlinks into account, but - perhaps more importantly - the quality and relevance of those backlinks. Page Rank on its own is an important parameter when it comes to ranking on SERPs, but certainly not the only one. Low-PR sites can attract more traffic than high-PR sites, for example. Many SEO experts have shifted away from paying too much attention to Page Rank as a result. However, the best approach is probably a middle ground - it's a good parameter (and one of only very precious few!) which Google disclose as a hint of a fundamental ranking indicator.
It is only Google that know how to calculate the ranking, it is one thing you can not find on the internet.
