How the cost per click goes down with pageviews

First of all, does google average all the pageviews from all of your channels? How does it come up with pageviews.

Second of all, if I have certain ads that bring in barely any clicks is it pointless to keep them? Do they bring down the revenue of my other ads?

I've gotten alot of more pageviews today and obviously my clicks are losing their value.

I took down the weak ads and now I only have the ones that generate revenue. Will this even make a difference?

PS. I'm sorry if this has already been posted/discussed. If so, please link me to the thread.

I've noticed this same problem for me. It's weird because one day I received like 30 clicks and that earned me just under two dollars and another day I received three clicks and that got me four dollars. Right now, though, I'm in a major slump and have been wondering if it has something to do with the ads displayed. I have changed them in hopes of an increase in revenue and clicks. I'm sure we'll just have to test this out and base our ad sense changes on our revenue.

I'll reply again after I see how my revenue works with the weak ads removed.

I think it has got to do with smart pricing

generally adsense will try to serve all different ads, and not the same ones

so yeah, "weak" ads could affect your click pricing and w/e

the high paying ads could be showing up at the weak spots, and the low paying "MFA" ads could be showing up at your good spots

Oic, well the revenue got better with the weak ads removed, so that logic does make sense. I can't tell for sure though, because I got alot more traffic too than on the other days.

    Thanks for the replies.

Sorry, you are not permitted to have a signature.

Edit: I haven't been signed up long enough. Hopefully I remember in a few days.
