My number 1 way that i like to get to my website is through email marketing. Email marketing saves money, and alot of time. You don't have to worry about going to the post office, and you can reach your targets in a few minutes. When using email marketing, your subject line should be catchy, and relating to your message. Try to keep your message short and quick. Long messages can become boring,and may lead to a lost consumer.

Email marketing isn't going to give you targeted traffic, I don't know why you think that it saves time.
Who do you send your emails to? Do you buy lists? I can honestly say that I have never bought anything form an email from a stranger and I hate receiving emails like that. I much prefer article marketing. People seek out the articles and then (if the article is of a particular standard) will buy from the article's sponsor or from contextual PPC advertisers.
The list you are paying for already have list of people. The issue is some of this list could be overused and become ineffective. However, there are ways to go about this. Building your own list.
My favorite traffic generating method..hmm im not entirely sure. Email marketing does work really well. So does classifieds. I guess my favorite would probably be forum posts and organic from the serps
Personally i dont touch email marketing as they just land in the Spam folder, i prefer Social Networks and Classifieds plus the usual Directory Submission and Search Engine Submission stuff.
