How suidoo lens helps ranking???

I have published 5 lens(articles) on squidoo and its all live and featured.Also i have an article published at hubpages.I want to know how does publishing to these authoritative sites helps in increasing ranking. And also I would like to know does that helps in increasing traffic to my site.I have received 8 views in 1 day for my article on hubpages.

 

I tried squidoo lenses before, but it's hard to get traffic. Only post lenses is not enough, u need to create backlinks for every lenses. Seems many guys use it for building link wheel.

suidoo lens and hubpages both are very effective for SEO ranking and visitors, bcz both use RSS feed and get High PR soon

 

They have a very high PR and that's why when you put a lense, make sure you put anchor link text going to your site of your keyword. But do not ever put a link going to that lense coming from your site... else, it will have no effect.

 

Squidoo and Hubpages benefit in same way as like blogspot. they give you back link but you need to promote them to get enough value from them

 

You cannot expect to get traffic,but both are helpful in SEO for improving PR

 

Creating content on squidoo and hubpages is not enough. You need to promote it as well. So why not creating it directly on your sites and promote it there?

 

Some of the lens in squidoo have PR of 5.I want to know how the PR becomes so high.Also I would like to know if anybody knows any other sites similar to hubpages.com and squidoo.com.Pls share

 

Squidoo and hubpages are good sites for submit your post or article that helps to increase visits for your site.

 

But I tried get more back links for lens page my lens page not indexed in google. Finally I came to know that in lens page Squidoo set the meta no index and nocache

 

i also use them for link value and less for traffic

 

For the people who have said that these sites provide "link value" or "seo value", have you run any systematic SEO tests? Or are you just believing that they "have link value" because others have said that this is true?

In the absence of tests confirming that the links are actually helping you, I think it's best to assume that links that do not drive traffic do not necessarily have SEO value.

So far, squidoo's performance in terms of traffic has been mediocre. It sends traffic, but the quality of the traffic is low, and the volume of it is also low. Compared to EzineArticles, for example, squidoo really gets me very little. EzineArticles has a much higher quality of traffic (pages / visit) and sends far more visitors.

I'd assume that the links from EzineArticles probably have more SEO value because I think in general, traffic is a fair coarse indicator of SEO value. If your page is not getting much traffic, I can't imagine google is going to give it much weight in terms of assessing the authority of your site.

 

Backlinks and direct traffic.
I like Hub > Squidoo.

Squidoo used to be big before.

 

Squidoo has helped with backlinks + sending me a few visitors/day. I'm not sold yet on whether I get enough traffic to ask my editor to prepare a lens vs a unique article for my website but I'm trying a lot of things to generate long term traffic. Even a few visitors a day ads up when you have a fun website and try enough things that add those new visitors.

 

squidoo is very useful for exposure on search engines, if you post your lens with proper backlinks and keywords.

 

I see that squidoo having pr only give only value otherwise it dont seem that it give any value to you

 

Getting backlinks from Squidoo.com is much valuable. Google loves website having OBLs from high authority sites like Squidoo and hubpages.
Its like polishing gold when you promote remote pages having backlinks to your original site. Using Squidoo in link wheel is also extremely value.

 

did you use the same anchor on every page? how did this help? did they improve your rankings?

 

I want to know is there any other sites similar to hubpages.com and squidoo.com.If anybody knows then pls share.Thanks
