How successful is selling domains on ebay versus other places?

What's your experience? Have you found that your domains sell quicker, and for more from a place like ebay as opposed to other websites, or parked PPC/domain listing services?

Personally, I sell most of my domains on forums. But i think it would be neat to automate the process and include ebay as a Plan B for after it doesn't sell immediately by forums.

Do domainers get fair market value from ebay? or are ebayers stingy? :) So many questions.

Sell on DP or Sitepoint... eBay sucks. The place is completely spammed with crappy domains and websites. I look occassionally but have to sort through 1000 listings to find 1 "real" website.

I have successfully sold almost all my domains on Ebay. Usually I put a link on the DP sell forum and watch Ebay do its magic. Ebay has the incredible traffic that other sites just don't have. You can't just set up an auction and hope for the best, you have to actively promote your ebay auction. Ebay is great at determining the "REAL" value of your domain...your domain is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Thats why, I take the risk and list it for one penny for a 10 day listing.

ebay is not a great market for domain names in my opinion. Most people that visit ebay are looking for a real life product, not digital products. Most people don't even know that ebay sells domain names. I have had success there though, once I sold a somewhat bad domain for $150.
