how should we promote sale?

We have a wedding / events website that sells favors and event goods/gifts. We are planning to relaunch the site (in beta now) and will offer a 35% discount to the 1st 100 buyers. What are some ways folks on the forum have marketed a huge sale? Due to the sale, we can't invest a lot into marketing.

 

Have you talked to other local event and wedding planners in your area? Let them know of your site and your promotion to come. Maybe offer a 25% discount and then 10% would go back to the event planner that told their client about your site, like an affiliate program.

Send a well worded email to all of the owners of the top wedding and event planning websites and blogs out there. Maybe offer them the same affiliate program where they would make money for any sales they generate.

Send the same email to magazines in the same niche.

Have you thought about advertising in forums like this one--but geared toward wedding and events planning? Try looking at theknot.com or whatever that huge wedding website is--perhaps you can list your service with them.

 

In my point of view u should optimize your site in your region coz people their can purchase from u. There are different ways of advertising your site like back links...

 

Tie in/advertise with websites that offer wedding/events planning services. Or use adwords.
